At worst - and not competent.
A competent Strida distributor would know that the drives are going back to the factory to be refurbished/exchanged - and then returned to the dealer.

That’s what I meant before - a really intrigued distributor would stock a few drives to have in time replacement for failed customers drives.
It is not my understanding of service to send the drive to Far East for refurbishing and let the customer wait meanwhile.
At the same time it is truly understandable for small companies, which are not spezialised in Strida, that they neither have special tools nor parts.

Much cheaper as long as you can get rid off the 373 bolt without breaking it.

That would be great.
In the case they can’t find an issue on the drive I’d recommend you beg for replacing of bolt 373, washer and cup spring.
