When folding my Strida earlier this week, I was baffled to find a crushed, yellowish rubbery washer sitting on the latch hook. It was resting hooked onto the hook itself. It was quite mangled so possibly it had wriggled loose from somewhere else…?
Looking at a parts list, I don’t see such a washer specified anywhere.
Anyone have any clue where it might have come from?
Maybe…plz look (from the underside of the bottom tube) at bearing 100-04 - can you see the balls?
The ball bearing shield is present (on both top and bottom bearings, when viewed from the top/bottom respectively), and the balls are not visible. The bearing also turns with a thumb.

Are there children or funny fellows present where you store your bike?
